Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained notoriety for her roles in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. She started her career in 1980s. The role she played as Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab became incredibly acclaimed. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared as well. Born into the Mumbai middle class family. She began dancing at a young age. She ventured into acting as a youngster and struggled for some time as the majority of her first films failed. She eventually found success and became one of the top actresses in the Indian industry of film. After her marriage the actress took time away from performing until she returned. She was recently the main character in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received 15 nominations to win Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of them. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. The actress is known for her social works as well.
